The future-oriented and international environment at the Helmholtz Institute Ulm (HIU) offers prospective students and doctoral candidates a variety of opportunities to qualify for their degrees.
Complementing the often heavily theory-oriented studies at universities, the HIU offers scientific and technically-focused students the chance to acquire practical experience. Doctoral students have the interesting opportunity to complete their doctoral work in interdisciplinary, third-party funded projects on electrochemical batteries. This multi-faceted topic is researched by international teams of scientists in chemistry, physics, crystallography, engineering, and materials science. At your disposal at the HIU are a variety of specialized laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment to help you meet the highly-complex requirements of battery research. You can find further information about our laboratories on the webpages of the individual research groups.
If the prospect of research work at the HIU interests you, we encourage you to apply. Please contact the leader of the research group you are interested in or send your application to info@HIU.kit.edu. An overview of our research groups and contacts can be found on our research page.
